The UNDO meditation app offers an immersive experience, blending insightful content and proprietary tools to help users reconnect with their bodies. The app’s content covers a range of educational courses and healing meditations designed to promote holistic recovery. My task focused specifically on creating a set of intuitive and approachable icons to represent various body parts and areas of affliction, enhancing the app’s usability.

Brief

For the app’s revamp, UNDO needed a fresh set of icons to guide meditators in focusing on specific body parts during their healing sessions. The icons needed to:

  • Communicate body parts and pain areas clearly

  • Align with UNDO’s aesthetic, which is rooted in natural, calming visuals

  • Facilitate a seamless navigation experience for users engaging in meditation practices

The goal was to help users quickly identify and target specific body parts, supporting a more intuitive and supportive
meditation journey.

Execution

Design Approach:

  • Minimalistic Black & White Icons: Icons were designed with simplicity in mind, using clean, monochromatic lines to outline various body parts in a way that remains instantly recognizable.

  • Realistic Silhouettes with a Modern Touch: Each icon maintains a realistic silhouette while ensuring a clean, contemporary look, making them accessible to a broad audience.

  • Highlighting Affliction Areas: To intuitively convey pain points or focus areas, a soft red gradient was added, drawing attention to specific regions without disrupting the app’s calming aesthetic.

  • Contrast & Cohesion: These icons are optimized for visibility on dark, textured backgrounds, ensuring they stand out while remaining complementary to the natural, grounding visuals of the app’s UI.
